Hey guys! I feel like I have been slacking off with the blog but I am back to review and provide you guys swatches of this cool product. The product I have here is Olay’s total effects eye cream with a touch of concealer. It doesn’t have a shade on this because it claims to be a skin adaptive colour. This product kind of reminds me of the smart shade products from Almay or a BB cream because of their skin care and make up properties. I find that all Olay products are on the pricey side in drugstores so lets see if this product is worth the money.
This eye cream with a touch of concealer claims to be a hydrating eye cream with colour that adapts to most common skin tones.
This product contains 15ml of product and it comes in a simply squeeze tube container with a tiny opening for the product to come out of. This makes the product more sanitary unlike the eye creams in pots and the product wont come out in huge amounts because of the small opening.
It instructs you gently apply with your ring finger to the under eye skin. As you all know, that is the common way to apply your eye cream. In the swatch photos, I accidentally squeezed out too much product. The first photo is a more accurate photo of what the colour looks like and the second photo shows it a bit more orangey.
This product has a slight orange undertone as you can see in the photo when blended out. I don’t know if it is because of the “skin adaptive colour” part or if it is actually like that, but when I apply this under my eye it isn’t orange to me or I just don’t notice it as well. This product gives a light coverage but it can build up to a medium coverage but by the time it builds up it feels like a thick eye cream. This has a consistency of an average eye cream but it isn’t hydrating at all. Maybe it will work for some of you but I have really dry under eyes. Aside from the fact that it doesn’t hydrate my under eyes that well and that it doesn’t have my preferred coverage, the positive side about this product is that it is really easy to blend.
That’s all I have to say about this product! Hope you guys all enjoyed this review! 🙂
WOULD I REPURCHASE? No, I think that it would be a waste of time for me to build up the coverage to my liking and making it feel like a thick eye cream that I’d wear to sleep. Also, Olay products are pretty expensive.
